Terms & Conditions

Last updated: August 12, 2026

1. What we do

DrumTranscription (“we”, “us”, the “Service”) converts audio recordings and audio links you submit into drum notation — PDF, MIDI, and MusicXML files — and delivers the results to the email address you provide.

Transcription is performed automatically. Output quality depends heavily on the source recording, and we make no guarantee that any transcription will be complete, accurate, or fit for a particular purpose.

2. Your recordings and rights

You may only submit recordings and links that you have the right to use. By submitting audio, you confirm that your use of the recording — and our processing of it on your behalf — does not infringe anyone else's rights.

You keep all rights you hold in the recordings you submit. You grant us a limited licence to store, process, and analyse your submission solely to produce your transcription and improve the Service.

Transcriptions of copyrighted musical works are provided for your personal study and private use. You are responsible for making sure any further use — public performance, distribution, sale — complies with applicable copyright law.

3. Acceptable use

Don't submit content that is unlawful, that you don't have rights to, or that contains malware or anything other than audio/video you want transcribed. We may refuse or delete submissions at our discretion.

4. Delivery and email

Results are delivered to the email address you enter at submission. Make sure it's correct — we're not responsible for results sent to a mistyped address.

5. Pricing

Pricing is not yet finalized. While the Service is in this early period, submissions are processed at no charge. We will never charge you without telling you first.

6. Sample sheet music

Drum notation displayed on the site for well-known pieces is provided for demonstration purposes. Copyright in the underlying musical works remains with their respective owners.

7. Disclaimer and liability

The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the Service in the twelve months before the claim arose.

8. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when they were last changed. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept the updated terms.
