DrumTranscription

Turn any recording into drum notation

Upload a recording, or paste a link to a song. We’ll turn it into drum notation, MIDI, and MusicXML you can actually read and edit — isolated drums or pulled out of a full mix.

How it works

1

Give us the audio

Upload a file, or paste a YouTube or song link.

2

We find and transcribe the drum part

Even if it's buried under a full band, we isolate the kit and transcribe what it's playing, drum by drum: kick, snare, hats, toms, cymbals.

3

Get real notation back

PDF to print and play today, MIDI for your DAW or e-kit, MusicXML to keep editing — sent to your inbox.

Who it’s for

Learners

Learned a groove by ear and can already feel yourself forgetting it? Get it on paper before it's gone.

Teachers

Turn a student's reference track into practice material fast — without spending an afternoon writing it out by hand.

Arrangers & transcribers

Use it as a fast first draft to refine by ear — not a replacement for the craft you already do well.

Frequently asked questions

Does it need to be drums-only?
No. Full mixes work — we isolate the kit first, even when it's buried under vocals, guitars, and bass.
How accurate is it?
It's strongest on clean recordings. Busy fills, heavy cymbal wash, ghost-note-dense funk, and lo-fi live recordings are genuinely harder — for any transcriber, human or AI — and you may need to touch up the result by hand. We'd rather tell you that upfront than oversell it.
What do I get back?
Three formats: a PDF to print and play today, MIDI for your DAW or e-kit, and MusicXML to keep editing in MuseScore, Guitar Pro, or Sibelius. All three land in your inbox.
How long does it take?
Usually just a few minutes from when you submit — we'll email you as soon as it's ready.
Is it free?
Pricing isn't finalized yet. Submit a recording now and we'll let you know before anything is ever charged.
